Folklorico Latino de Woodland
The Folklorico Latino de Woodland has long been considered one of California's brightest folkloric dances troupes. The Folklorico Latino received a prestigious 2007 "Best of Sacramento" award from Sacramento Magazine.
The troupe has won numerous competitive awards. Additionally, individual performers have worked with luminescent talents such as Linda Rondstadt, the late Juan Zaiser, Mariachi Vargas and Mariachi Los Camperos de Nati Cano. In 1999, the troupe made a fourth appearance at the Palace of Fine Arts in the acclaimed 21st San Francisco Ethnic Dance Festival.
The Woodland troupe was created in October 1986, when a small group of Mexican-American parents decided they could teach their children self-pride and cultural awareness through dance.
The troupe can perform at events such as the California State Fair, corporate parties, wedding receptions, or school assemblies.
Styles: Ballet Folklorico, Dance Groups, Folk, Latin American, Traditional Arts
